[edit] Early History

Quarion was born to a lower class family in a small town outside the port of Phylisca. As such, Quarion was not given a formal education. Instead he followed the example of his father and began to learn the ways of a farmer.

When he was eight, bandits entered the small town, demanding payment to leave the town unharmed. Quarion's father would not stand to pay the thieves. Instead, he organized the men of the town to revolt and fight off the bandits. While the defense of the small town was a success, Quarion's father was killed in the process.

When word spread to Phylisca of what had taken place in the town, the Church of Bahamut sent a small group of clerics to minister to the town and help them rebuild and complete their harvest. As the clerics finished their work in the town and were about to return to Phylisca, Quarion begged his mother if he could join them.

Not knowing how she would provide for herself, let alone her son, Quarion's mother allowed him to go. Unfortunately, this was the last time that Quarion would see his mother. She died due to sickness in the following winter.

[edit] Training as a Cleric

As a new member of the monastery of Bahamut, Quarion began his formal education. He began to learn to read and write. Once he had mastered the common script of the region, he began to study the Elvan and Supernal languages.

The clerics of Bahamut also taught Quarion how to commune with their god. He learned now Bahamut could strengthen him and grant him the power to perform amazing feats. Quarion also began to be educated in the craft of medicine and healing.

When Quarion reached the age of twelve, the monastery began to train him in the ways of battle. Quarion learned how to fight with a sword and other melee weapons as well as how to use various types of armor effectively.

[edit] Recent History

At the age of 18, bestowed with his monastery's most prized suit of armor and a matching ornate longsword, Quarion set out on his first adventure. Young and bold, Quarion believed that he would be able to right the wrongs of the world. Seeking to bring peace and justice to the lands he visited, he set out and quickly arrived in Grundlewood.

Soon after arriving, Quarion falls in with a group of adventurers that would become the Knights of Albright. Quarion fought with the group to save the citizens of Grundlewood as it was overrun by hoards of the undead. It was at this time that Quarion learned of the first of the stones, the Burnt Sienna.

Continuing with the group, two more stones were discovered: the An'sca and the Chironite stones.

During this time, Quarion met Lord Albright, fighting to rid his lands of a strange vampire infestation. Quarion continued to serve the Kingdom Albright as he fought against the evil wizard Velsed.

Not long after, Quarion traveled with the King and his fellow Knights to the town of Dwarrowdune. It was here that Quarion first encountered Shadowwood.

[edit] Current History

In the time since his initial adventures, Quarion has returned to a monastery of Bahamut, south of the Town of Albright. In the monastery, Quarion spent much time researching the unique stones that the Knights had come across in their earlier adventures. The question of the origin of the stones, how many might exist, and the nature of their true power constantly on his mind, Quarion spent the majority of his days amongst the tomes of religious and historical texts in the monastery's well kept library.

During this time, Quarion kept in contact with King Albright and Argol, a fellow Knight and adviser to the King.

At this moment, Quarion has returned to the Albright, once again called to protect the Kingdom from the mounting forces of evil.

[edit] Personality

During the times of his first adventure, Quarion was rather confident and eager to fight for justice. He would not hesitate to enter battle and to right injustice wherever it reared it's head.

In the years since, Quarion has become more contemplative and less eager to raise his sword in battle. Still, his eagerness to see justice and peace for the people of Albright is his guiding force.

Quarion has become eager to uncover the truth of the evil forces lurking in the area and why they continue to target certain places and people.
