Sha Dur often presents an image of severity and gravity.

Brief Overview

Sha Dur is a female Kel Dor pilot in Corsair Squadron. She flies a Y-Wing as Corsair 5, with Sen-Do Turu as her wingmate. A former law enforcement agent, she is known for her intensity and sincerity in bringing the Empire to justice. She spends much of her free time reading first hand accounts of the atrocities committed by the Empire, which she uses both to build a case against the Imperial government and to fuel her passion to bring it down. She has little appreciation or tolerance for frivolity.

Early Life

Like many of her species, Sha Dur grew up with a great deal of reverence for law, order, and justice. As such, her greatest desire was to go into a law enforcement career, specifically aiming to be a member of the Sector Rangers, an intersystem investigation organization. She pushed herself hard, both physically and mentally, eventually earning top marks in areas such a galactic culture, marksmanship, piloting, hand-to-hand combat, and physical fitness. She became one of the youngest Sector Rangers to be inducted in the history of the organization's existence. As a Ranger, she became known as much for her successful apprehension rate as for her stoic and joyless demeanor.

At the time she was tolerant of the Empire's existence. She did not approve of its fascist tendencies, but she respected the order and uniformity that it brought to the galaxy.

On Joining Corsair Squadron

As the Empire consolidated its power, Sha Dur increasingly became blocked by Imperial officials during the course of her investigations. With the Empire interfering with her efforts to apprehend criminals, she judged the Imperial government to be a criminal organization. If the Empire was unwilling to dispense justice, she would do so herself. Sha Dur became a maverick officer of the law, simultaneously acting as judge, jury, and, if the crime called for it, executioner.

After the execution of a minor Imperial officer charged with rape, a death sentence was issued for her by the Imperial government. Although she believed the sentence to be unfounded, she was nonetheless disturbed to officially be considered a criminal.

With no option other than hiding, she decided to offer her services to the Rebellion, where her excellent piloting marks won her a spot in Corsair Squadron. Captain Avalar appreciates her drive to bring the Empire to justice, although even he is somewhat disturbed at just how fanatically she pursues her cause.
