Melisandre Hart
Brief Overview
Melisandre Hart is a member of Slasher Squad under the command of Big Grizz. Along with Ulkar, she serves as one of the lieutenants of the squad, specializing in infiltration and close-quarters combat. Hart is rather grim, feeling that the Alliance is soon to be stomped out by the Empire any day now. Her only desire is to cause the Empire and its supporters as much pain as possible before it happens.
Early Life
Hart was born on the idyllic world of Chandrilla. As a child, she was quite pretty. Her parents entered her into a number of beauty pageants, where she performed extraordinarily well. As she got older, she continued competing in these pageants, eventually being named "Miss Teen Chandrilla," which made her eligible to compete in the "Miss Teen Galaxy" competition held on Coruscant.
Shortly after arriving on Coruscant, Hart and her parents were kidnapped by Imperial extremists. They were targeted due to Chandrilla's public support of the Rebel Alliance. Hart's parents were tortured and killed in front of her eyes before the extremists slashed a series of cuts across her face and body with a vibroknife.
They let her loose as a message to supporters of the Rebel Alliance, a story that never made it far on the Holonet due to the Empire keeping it hushed. Allergic to bacta, Hart's wounds had to be healed the old fashioned way, resulting in a series of scars. The most prominent scar cuts diagonally across her face. She tends to wear her hair in a manner that keeps it mostly concealed.
Slasher Squad
Fueled by hatred of the Empire for her disfigurements, Hart joined the Rebellion. She lacked any technical or piloting skills and didn't want to take a job as a recruiter or public speaker. Wanting to hit back at those who scarred her, she threw herself into hand-to-hand combat techniques, blaster rifle drills, and combat tactics. After serving on a few squads, she was recommended for Grizz's Slasher Squad, one of the Alliance's most highly decorated infantry units. Her dedication and ferocity for hurting the Empire impressed Grizz, who appointed her as one of his lieutenants.
