Myles Jalba

Early Life
Myles Jalba was born in 60 BBY to the "Jalba Miners" a wealthy family of engineers. Khilo Jalba, head of the family and father, celebrated Myles's birth with an acquisition of the remaining competitive mining company on Duros. Much of Myles's life revolved around acquisition after acquisition and his father spared no expense making sure that whatever he thought his son should be able to do, he should be able to do really well. At age 10 (40BBY) Myles was sent to a Technical School for education as an Engineer. A small favor fulfilled by a friend of the family. Much like his father, he was a quick learner but his stubbornness made him quite a handful. His school record states that he once welded an instructor into his own room when he gave Myles a grade he felt was unsuitable. After 5 years of school he was released as a certified mechanic and engineer. He moved back home nad helped his father manage the vast family mining company.
Early Years of Service
His time at home made him irritable and his want to explore the galaxy made his family's business appear distasteful. There was something about the planetary company that just seemed to suck the life out of him and anyone working within it. So after the Invasion of Naboo (32BBY), Myles enlisted on a Mere cruiser. He spent the next ten years working his way up to Chief Mechanic of one of the oldest, still original, Mere cruisers. He is given special honors for successfully keeping the ship afloat during the battle of Battle of Geonosis (22BBY). In 19 BBY, the birth of Empire is speculated to be a new era of peace as the Clone Wars End. Myles Jalba tries Gravdinian ale for the first time and experiences a feeling he has since never felt again. Also, he almost dies. His enjoyment and fascination with alcohol will remain with him for years to come.
For the next few years (18BBY to 14 BBY) the last of planet Duro's resources are mined off by the Republic (Now Empire) and Myles's clan is left destitute. Myles, humiliated and angered by the Empire's brash treatment of the planet, resigned from Mere, but he does not return to his family because of their assistance to the Empire and ruination of the planet.
Joining the Rebellion
For 6 years, 13BBY to 7BBY, Myles disappeared & was found by Jenssar SoBillies on Sullust working in a bar mixing Sonic Servodrivers. After much convincing by SoBillies, the two begin discussing plans for the future. In 7 BBY, Jenssar SoBilles created the Duros Resistance, an Imperial resistance movement bent on removing the Empire from Duros. Myles was amongst the group. Then in 3 BBY SoBillies met with resistance fighters of which were attempting to unite several resistance groups and coordinates discussions.
In the same year that the Rebel Alliance took shape (1BBY), the Duros Resistance joined the Rebellion, Myles became Chief Engineer of the "Independence" commanded by Admiral Ackbar & Commander Wrette and coordinated attacks started against the Empire. The Battle of Yavin (0BBY) resulted in the destruction of the Death Star & a crushing defeat for the Empire. A few years later, Myles was transferred (3BBY) at the request of Commander Wrette to the Bravado & assuming command as Chief Petty Officer.
