Gold Flight represents the cream of the crop in X-Wing captaining; it is apparent that Captain Avalar had a hand (or, perhaps more accurately, a flipper) in the choice for his half of the squadron.  The pilots of Gold Flight are well trained, and while their pasts are just as spotty as those of Mynock Flight, they seem to be offered more allowance by Avalar on the basis of natural talent.  While an occasional one or two have had difficulty in their past (like Speng Durmel, who grew up homeless), many of the pilots are pampered fly boys who have grown bored with letting history happen, and would rather languish on a ship, laughing at death.

Brief Overview

Corsair Squadron is the Alliance Starfighter Squadron assigned to The Bravado. It is commanded by Captain Saal Avalar and his XO Commander Vor'Lx Taruk. The squadron was newly assembled and assigned to The Bravado during its first tour, in the year 3 ABY.

Corsair Squadron is comprised of mostly X-Wings and Y-Wings. The pilots are divided into two flights, the more experienced Gold Flight, led by Captain Avalar. The less experienced pilots in Mynock Flight are led by Commander Vor'Lx Taruk.

Gold Flight
